Portrayal Anyi Liebler-Bendix, '16 A portrait can say a lot about a person. Its quiet words of sentimental feelings wrapped up in stiff oil paints and the criss crossed lines of splattered blue and orange and every color of the rainbow painted to perfection. The artist drew in the concrete edges of a subtle face no hint of raw emotion but pure honesty behind the amber eyes and golden flecks. It speaks of all the pain through its withering lips of a desolate smile. The whisks of hair fall across the high cheek bones effortlessly until they fade into the background disappearing out of sight. The daunting hint of desperation lurks among the framework drawing in a crowd of restless eye and the curiosity gets the better of them. There is no secret to the art revealed by the portrait of a sober, nimble creator.
