First Snow of the Year
Wyatt Weiss, '22

It snowed today, the first snow of the year,
It is mid-November, the trees are without leaves,
The snow clings to the bare branches,

It does not last,
It gets above 32,
What little we got melts away,

We are left with cold, drab, grey,
Cold, soggy mud coats the ground,
But still there is hope,

Soon it will snow again,
But that may melt away too,
But sometime, one day,

The snow will stay.
