Februarys\nElliot Gosselin, '23\n\nFebruarys are brutally repetitive.\n Wake up in the dark,\n Stay inside while it\u2019s light,\n Go to sleep when it's dark again.\n\nThe cold wind will whisper\n To you, curses and hisses\n On the tip of its icy tongue,\n Its chill nipping at your heels.\n\nThe sky will become a canvas\n Of ever-rolling gray,\n The sun shut up and away\n By a dense blanket of clouds\n Hugging the once-blue sky.\n\nFebruarys are cold and dim, even\n The thickest blankets can be\n Pierced by the all-encompassing\n Chill of winter.\n\nThe sun hides its face from\n View, perhaps because the clouds\n Give it some kind of company\n Up in that lonely sky.\n\nSo tomorrow I will wake up\n In the dark\n The wind nipping at my heels\n The sun hidden from view\nAnd I will go on to live this repetitive February day.<\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
