Pain\r\nAfua Addo, '16\r\n\r\nPain is a swift little thing\r\nmoving from the thorn's prick on \r\nyour finger to the tears in your eyes.\r\n\r\nshe is both despised and feared by \r\nmany who have met her and have had \r\nconversations with her and the many\r\n\r\nwho have yet to see her face.\r\nthere is so much that we do not know \r\nabout her and maybe we refuse to get\r\n\r\nto know her because she has hurt us \r\nand because she is the thief in the night \r\nand the black threads at a funeral.\r\n\r\nbut she is also a mother, one who has \r\nbeen through a lot more than many of us \r\neven bother to think or care about.\r\n\r\nsee we often forget that everyone and \r\neverything we see has a soul and regardless \r\nof its size, a soul is a soul.\r\n\r\nthough she is an unfortunate part of life, she \r\nhas given the world something so precious, \r\nBeauty.\r\n\r\nhow would we be able to see the sun from \r\nway down here if the clouds didn't cry for hours? \r\nwithout Pain, Beauty\r\n\r\ntrue Beauty\r\nwould cease to exist in its greatest form: \r\nout of the depths of Pain.\r\n\r\nso I think it's time to let go of our pride \r\nand thank pain, or at least look her way \r\nbecause the good Lord knows\r\n\r\nthat the world would be a very different \r\nplace without Beauty\r\nand her mother. \r\n<\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
