Societal Distress
Peter Miedaner, '17

One day a bird landed on a tree
Or had the tree branded the bird?
Its wings appeared free
But its mind appeared blurred
His yellow wings contrasting with the snow
Or was the snow contrasting with his yellow wings?
These days its hard to know
But when the yellow bird sings
Knowing is just showing
Yet showing is not knowing
