My memories are in blue and green
Maybe from the outside you see a dullness
or a small shimmer
but open the feathers of my life and the dizzying brilliance is blinding
each memory pours open its richness
onto the details of your face
and can’t help but be cherished

Between the royal blue and deep green
every few quills holds a dullness
that never held that shimmer
because there are always memories of life
where the darkness is blinding
though there is nothing that can hide the richness
that was meant to show through your face
and just can’t help but be cherished

So once in awhile, stroke through the blue and green
and even the dullness
Allow it to shimmer
and reflect on your beautiful life
let the color be blinding
and let the wind wave the richness
right in front of your face
and know how much it is cherished
